Miss Leader won't you follow me

Where do we go when we need to escape? What is it that we need to escape from? We often over burden ourselves with things that are far out of our control. Why do we attempt to command things we do not control? Giving orders seems easier than following them and any true leader can attest to that. To follow orders you have to be able to discern, understand, and then implement. To give an order you simply need to repeat what was told or heard. Giving advice is an example of giving orders, where someone attempts to advice you on what’s best for you. They don’t have to follow their own advice; most often they don’t, the only requirement is there must be a problem. To take advice is an example of following orders because you must reflect, accept, and apply. How much reflection is required to give advice? There should be a great deal of reflection needed but as we have seen all too often is that people are much more likely to tell you what to do than accept that they need to do anything. We somehow express the idea that everyone outside of ourself is flawed and needs help yet, we don’t like to see how much we need to follow our own advice, a dose of your own medicine. Ironically, how many doctors actually take their own health advice? Only the best followers become leaders as most leaders are inadequate followers so technically they aren’t leaders, they are misleaders.
